This 13-story building features residential units as well as a community facility in the basement. The site needed to maximize the number of apartment units while staying within New York’s Housing and Preservation Development (HPD) requirements. The building houses 163 units with over 5,000 square feet of community space, and is in close proximity to two MTA subway tunnels, one running directly under the proposed building. This obstacle required specific attention to structural design and construction.
